Naturally, when it was time to do the grabbing, it was dark, cold, and raining. It was still there, sitting in the alley leaning against the fence, ready to be claimed. It barely fit in the cruiser. Here's a picture of it on the floor:

Found
When I came back to Nashville from the semester break (and Christmas and stuff), I had a few days before classes started to have nice, leisurely walks to the office. One day, I noticed a fantastic sculpture that was reasonably close to what I had in my head for what I wanted over my couch. I didn't have time to stop and look or any way to get it anywhere. Then, I forgot about it. A few days later, I saw it again and decided that it should be mine and that it would be mine if it was still there after fencing practice. Jenn offered suitable sister-encouragement and convinced me that it was the right thing to do.

A couple closer pictures so you can see the detail:

"Second bottle. Ahhh...She looks for me"
Leftovers for dinner...no workout...what on earth could I talk about? I've got the third (rather than second) bottle of the Montes open, with the thought that I'll probably take what's left home tomorrow night. I've not been home since the beginning of the semester. I'm ready to see Jeremy, the Moose, and Cricket.
Ahh...segue...Dad requested that I send a couple pictures of the apartment to him via e-mail. I said, "Why don't you check out my blog?"
"Grumble, grumble, blog, grumble," was his response.
Picutres are below. Hi Dad.
This is the living room, as you enter and turn around. It has cute baskets, lots of lighting, and no cable, much to the dismay of the cable companie(s!) around. I stopped answering the phone (seriously) because of the people trying to call and let me know what kind of deals they were going to give me for cable. Interesting, yes, but not productive for me. I want to see a.) the Super Bowl (Go Colts!!!), and b.) March Madness. I'll figure out something for B.
This is the view when you walk into the apartment. Yes, the bike is used. I personally don't think that it stands out that much in the big picture. If nothing else, it's additional seating.
This is from the couch area. I suppose it would be called the dining room, but it's really not big enough to be a dining "room". Instead, I'll call it the coat closet and pantry and the only light I have control over when I walk in the door.
Finally, the kitchen area. It's not huge, but compared to other apartments I looked at, it's giagnormous. It's really very functional and aside from the fact that it's all electric, I love it. I have yet to see an electric bill, but I'm supposed to be very happy for the TVA, so go TVA! We'll see how long the honeymoon lasts, seeing as my refridgerator has been running essentially non-stop since I moved in.
